When I meet new professionals, my elevator pitch includes a little bit of everything without doing too much. But my passions are women’s health research and Biotech. My research fueled my passion to be at the forefront of efforts to cure endometriosis and promote the importance of biomedical research as a whole. My interest in the biotech sector has pulled me away from my research to better understand how, where and why certain research becomes a therapy on the market. If fascinates me. So it’s not surprising that, when I heard the term “femtech”, my ears perked up and I started to dig.
FemTech is any form of technology designed to promote and/or improve women’s health. It’s gaining ground and attention worldwide.
Check out the difference in the FemTech market map between 2017 and 2020. So many new startups and new players in the game.

All of this is exciting to me, not only because it’s bringing a broad area of women’s health into the spotlight, but also because it brings a new level of female engagement to male-dominated fields of technology and biotechnology.
Let’s do this!
